some details point to the year of construction 1966, although the serial number also appears in 1969.
 
The stereo circuit was professionally converted to mono. In addition, the Varitone Switch has a true bypass in position 1.
Some parts have been exchanged for this professional player, but some of them are still available. The pickguard has been renewed. The original ones are known to be critical because their acetone vapors have caused significant damage to similar instruments. The frets have been renewed and are easy to play. The knobs have been changed for aesthetic reasons, the original Witchhat Knobs are included. The nylon saddles of the ABR-1 are still there, but have been replaced by brass saddles.
The guitar played a large meaty tone when played electrically, which also indicates an earlier year of construction. Overall, this instrument offers everything a good ES can have. An impressive appearance, high playing comfort and a magnificent tone.
