Similar to all my pickups bearing the 65 in the model name, the JAG65 has a mild midrangy tone with a soft attack and an open top end. The higher midrange, that is more often the center frequency of the Treble dial off many guitar amplifiers, is already reduced a bit in the frequency responce of the JAG65
