Gibson Les Paul Custom 1979 - Great Sounding! (consignment)

This 1979 Les Paul Custom is, without a doubt, one of the best Norlin-era Les Pauls we’ve ever had the pleasure of playing.

Remarkably, it has made it all the way to 2026 with no breaks and only very minor modifications — quite surprising for a guitar that lived through the 1980s!

At some point, it received the common mini-switch modification, but this has since been professionally reversed. The small holes were sealed and carefully touched up. The potentiometers and wiring have been replaced, while the original Pat No. pickups remain intact. The finish is original, as are all other parts, with the possible exception of the pickguard, though we cannot confirm that with certainty.

What we can say for sure is this: this Les Paul Custom absolutely rocks. It sounds incredible, plays beautifully, and feels great in the hands.
