To honor 70 years of the Stratocaster®—the platinum anniversary of the world’s most iconic electric guitar—the Fender Custom Shop proudly presents the Limited Edition Masterbuilt 70th Anniversary 1954 Stratocaster®, handcrafted by Master Builder Kyle McMillan.

This remarkable instrument captures the spirit and craftsmanship of the original 1954 Strat®, brought to life with modern precision and timeless style. Its two-piece select ash body (with an offset seam on the treble side) resonates with shimmering highs, smooth mids, and tight, articulate lows. The body wears a stunning Wide Fade Two-Color Sunburst Deluxe Closet Classic nitrocellulose lacquer finish, exuding vintage character and depth.

The one-piece 5A flame maple neck features a special 70th Anniversary Soft “V” profile, inspired by a remarkable July 1954 Strat® neck. Topped with a vintage compound-radius fingerboard (7.25"–9.5"), 21 medium vintage (47095) frets, and a 1.625” bone nut, it offers exceptional playability and comfort.

A trio of Custom Shop Hand-Wound ’54 Strat® pickups deliver pure, classic Strat® tone—clear, bell-like highs with warmth and dynamic response—wired through vintage ’54 Strat® circuitry with a wax paper capacitor and five-way switching.

Additional period-correct and premium features include:

• Single-ply white pickguard and serial-numbered back plate
