This Fender Custom Shop ’56 Stratocaster Relic Active Masterbuilt by Todd Krause, built in 2016, is a true gem for both collectors and players. His career began in the early 1980s at Jackson/Charvel, before joining Fender in 1991 and receiving the title of Masterbuilder in 1997. Ever since, his instruments have been celebrated for their precision, elegance, and the way they inspire musicians to play.

This example features a classic two-tone sunburst finish with a tasteful relic treatment that gives it authentic character without being overdone. The one-piece maple neck with its 10/56 soft-V profile feels incredibly comfortable in the hand, and paired with the 9.5" radius and 21 medium jumbo frets, the playability is exceptional despite its vintage-inspired specs.
