We're truly excited to bring you this bass. It's rare to find such a high-quality instrument at this price point. This particular Fender JB-62 from the 1980s, Made in Japan, comes from the collection of our dear friend Ralf Reichen. At some point, Ralf—or someone else—routed the body (see photo), most likely to install an active circuit. By the time it reached us, it had already been converted back to passive, using modern CTS pots and a new capacitor.

We didn’t hesitate to install our upcoming JB65 pickup set, which delivers punch, clarity, and a rich, balanced frequency response. It's an instant favorite—you won’t want to put it down!

The original pickups, which we believe to be stock (possibly slightly modified), will be included with the bass.
