1962 Epiphone Wilshire – Cherry Red | Ex‑Karl Allaut (Westernhagen, Udo Lindenberg)
This guitar is more than an instrument—it’s a living piece of German rock history. Built in 1962 at Gibson’s Kalamazoo factory under the Epiphone name, this Wilshire shares its lineage with the same skilled luthiers who handcrafted iconic Gibson models of the era.
Owned by guitarist Karl Allaut, known for his work with Westernhagen and as part of Udo Lindenberg’s Panikorchester, this Wilshire was used on the album Mit Pfefferminz bin ich dein Prinz. The guitar carries story and soul in every inch.
