1965 fender Princeton Reverb (consignment)

This 1965-66 Fender Princeton Reverb is a super clean, exceptionally well-preserved example of the definitive mid-60s "Blackface" combo. Delivering sparkling, glass-like cleans and a beautifully compressed natural overdrive at manageable volume levels, this transition-era masterpiece perfectly captures the magic of Fender's golden age. It is in great cosmetic and functional condition, presenting pristine Tolex and grille cloth that show minimal signs of age.

 

The amplifier sounds absolutely fantastic, featuring deep, spacious tube-driven spring reverb and a warm, pulsing tremolo circuit.The speaker is a 1966 one, so the amp was shipped in 66.

 

The mains power transformer has been professionally replaced. As original transformers from this era were notoriously under-spec'd for modern wall voltages, not all survived. Crucially, because the all-important output transformer remains completely original, the foundational, touch-sensitive vintage tone and sag are perfectly preserved.
